Northborough – Kindergartners take their bows during the finale of “Hill of Fire,” a Mexican folktale play presented March 3 for families and other students at Proctor Elementary School. The previous day, children's cultural educator Nan Rumpf guided the students as they constructed costumes, props and sets, and then rehearsed the show with help from volunteer parents. In addition, plays exploring the cultures of China and Africa were prepared and presented with students in grades one and two. The guests” several visits to the school within three weeks were made possible by a grant from the Massachusetts Cultural Council.
