Marlborough – Dilan Seemungal, 4, prepares to glue a fuzzy beard onto the figure he created at the Puppet-Making Workshop conducted March 14 at the Marlborough Public Library Children's Room. First, the children were instructed by Len Gerwick of Gerwick Puppets to choose a type of character for their puppet, such as an animal, a person they know or even themselves. Next, they creatively assembled swatches of fabrics, strands of yarn, pieces of construction paper and other materials. Each child completed the 90-minute workshop with a unique handmade puppet to take home.
