Southborough – Michael R. Walker, 59, died peacefully Saturday March 19, 2011, at Marlborough Hospital, surrounded by his family. Born in Framingham, he was the son of Rose (Salvati) Walker of Southborough and the late Robert L. Walker.
Mr. Walker was developmentally delayed and attended Alternative Day Program for Personal Achievement in Hopedale. He had many friends and staff who took pleasure in all his many accomplishments.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his sister, Patricia Johnson of Marlborough; his brothers, John Walker and his wife, Kelle, of Shrewsbury and Peter Walker of Royalston; a very special niece, Meghan Johnson, and four nephews, Shawn Walker, Jason Walker, Matthew Walker and Robert Walker; a devoted godmother, Louise Mayer; and his aunts, uncles and cousins. He is predeceased by his brother, Robert L. Walker II, who passed away in November 2010.
A Mass of Christian burial was held March 23 at St. Matthew Church of Southborough, with burial in the Rural Cemetery. The Morris Funeral Home of Southborough assisted with arrangements.
