Westborough – Now that Westborough has been approved as a platinum-level Bio-ready town by the Massachusetts Biotechnology Council, town officials hope the designation will show potential biotechnology companies that Westborough is a good location option.
Those officials have stressed however, that just because the town has this designation, it doesn's necessarily mean all types of companies, such as those that deal with rDNA research, would necessarily receive all required approvals to set up shop in the town. What it does do, they said, is give the town flexibility and the opportunity to prove that they are serious about expanding the town's business base.
