Marlborough – Francis G. “Fran” Bisson, 74, died at home Saturday June 11, 2011, surrounded by his loving family, after an illness.
He leaves his wife of 39 years Mary T. “Penny” (Zaccagnini) Bisson; his children, Joseph O. Bisson and wife Joanne of Weymouth, Theresa N. Bisson of Goleta, Calif., Steven N. Bisson and wife Joan of Worcester, and Kim H. Morgan of Sudbury; seven grandchildren, Kristen, Nicole, Heather, Michelle, Jessica, Tabitha and Steven; his siblings, Joan A. Wilk, Beverly J. Cooley, Carol A. Hibbard and Oliver J. Bisson Jr.; and many nieces and nephews and cousins. He was father of the late Paul A. Morgan.
Born in Marlborough, the son of the late Oliver J. and Margaret B. (Gomes) Bisson, he had been a lifelong resident of Marlborough. He was a graduate of Marlborough High School and was a U.S.A.F. veteran of the Cuban Crisis.
Mr. Bisson was the former owner and operator of B. and B. Machine of Marlborough for over 20 years, retiring in 1995. He was also employed at Raytheon Corp of Andover after 15 years as a machinist.
He was a member of the Hudson Elks and a member of the N.R.A. He enjoyed hunting deer and vacationing with the family in South Yarmouth. He enjoyed playing poker on his computer and also listening to music on it.
A funeral service will be held Wednesday June 15, at 10 a.m., from the John P. Rowe Funeral Home Inc., 57 Main St., Marlborough, with a Mass at 11 a.m. in the Immaculate Conception Church, 11 Prospect St., Marlborough. Burial with military honors will follow in Evergreen Cemetery, Marlborough.
