Upton – Walter C. Kane, 64, died Saturday July 2, 2011, in Milford Regional Hospital after an illness.
He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Maureen (O”Sullivan) Kane; their two sons, Michael J. Kane and his wife Elyse of Hanover and Peter J. Kane of Upton; a grandson, Ryan M. Kane of Brimfield; his mother, Josephine (Tomaso) Kane of Westborough; his sister, Mary A. (Kane) Emery of Shrewsbury; his brothers, Charles E. Kane of Merritt Island, Fla., Paul J. Kane of Douglas, David J. Kane of Westborough and Stephen F. Kane of Westborough; and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father, Walter J. Kane.
Born in Milford and raised and educated in Westborough, he was a graduate of Westborough High School, class of 1964, and a graduate of Worcester Junior College and Clark University.
Mr. Kane was an executive at Bay State Abrasives, and the Winterthur Co.
He was an avid golfer and longtime member of the Westborough Country Club.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours Friday July 8, from 6 to 8 p.m., at the Williams-Pedersen Funeral Home, 45 Main St., Upton. Funeral services and burial plans are private.
