Northborough – Michael Benway, 4, jumps into the Splash Pad at Assabet Park on its opening day of the season, June 18. The popular spot for toddlers and preschoolers offers bubblers, misters and geysers. Weather permitting, the Splash Pad is open weekdays from noon to 6 p.m., and weekends from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. through Monday, Sept. 5, Labor Day. The park is located on the corner of Gale Road and Route 135.
