Hudson – Helen R. (Daigneault) Best, 87, a lifelong resident of Hudson, died Tuesday July 5, 2011, surrounded by her loving family, at her residence.
Born and raised in Hudson, the daughter of the late Leve F. and Rose A. (Lanoue) Daigneault, she attended local schools and was a 1942 graduate of Hudson High School. She later attended Mass Memorial Nursing School in Boston, where she studied nursing and graduated in 1945.
She worked as a registered nurse for many years at Marlborough Hospital until her retirement. She was a member of the former Christ the King Parish in Hudson, where she was a choir member, and also was a very active member of the Hudson Senior Center.
She is survived by her two daughters, Rosemary Best of Hudson and Michele Best of Lowell; her two brothers, Donald Daigneault and his wife Beverly and Albert Daigneault and his wife Jane, all of Hudson; and several nieces and nephews and many cousins.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday July 8, at 9 a.m., in Saint Michael's Church, 21 Manning St., Hudson. Burial will follow in Saint Michael's Cemetery.
