The annual Fourth of July Celebration was held Independence Day at Dean Park in Shrewsbury. The celebration started midday with Boy Scouts troops 114 and 227 serving barbecued hamburgers and hot dogs. In addition to the parade, activities continued throughout the afternoon including several inflatable amusements, trackless-train rides, games, face painting and special guest Sunny the Clown. The holiday event was presented by Shrewsbury Parks and Recreation.
