Westborough – June 23 was a sad day for local history fans as a bell cast by Paul Revere was removed from Westborough's First Baptist Church. The bell, thought to be one of only 26 bells cast by Revere, had been in the church's steeple since 1849. When the church closed in 2007, the town's Historical Society had hoped to purchase the bell. When those efforts failed, the bell was sold for an undisclosed price and will now reside at the Old South Meeting House in Boston.
