Chili's dining night to support Girl Scout tripRegion – Girl Scouts across the nation will celebrate their 100th anniversary in 2012. As part of the celebration, 20 girls from the Central and Western Massachusetts Council will visit the birthplace of the founder Juliette Gordon Low in April 2012. The girls, from several towns, are raising funds to support the cost of the trip. Trip leader Judy Wilchynski of Westborough said it is a wonderful opportunity for the girls to see where the organization started.

The Girl Scouts will be sponsoring a day at Chili's in Shrewsbury Monday July 18. Coupons are needed and Chili's will donate 10 percent of all sales that day. Coupons are available in the Information Center box at the Westborough Public Library, 55 West Main St.

This will be one of many fund-raisers conducted by the Girl Scouts over the next several months, with girls from Westborough, Northbridge, Lunenberg, Springfield, Grafton and Whitinsville participating.

Girl Scouts of Central and Western Massachusetts services over 15,000 girls in the council. For information on membership, call the council's information center at 1-800-462-9100.
