Northborough resident Lindenberg returns from Congress-Bundestag Youth ExchangeNorthborough – Sam Lindenberg of Northborough will be returning home July 14 after having spent a year in Germany as a participant in the Congress-Bundestag Youth Exchange for Young Professionals (CBYX). CBYX is a government-sponsored fellowship for young professionals between the ages of 18 and 24 to study and work in Germany. Lindenberg was selected as one of 75 participants nationwide for the very competitive program.

Lindenberg is affiliated with the Culinary Institute of America, where he studied Culinary Arts Management. He took part in the 27th year of the CBYX program, which has provided over 1,400 Americans with the unique opportunity to gain cultural, theoretical and practical work experience in Germany since 1984. His year abroad began with two months of intensive German language training at the Carl Duisberg Center in Cologne and ended with internships at Café Central in Rheine and Landidyll Wilminks Parkhotel in Neuenkirchen.
