Marlborough – Tori Wood, 7, gets fitted for a free bike helmet at the 13th annual Safe Summer Fun Day, presented June 11 by Marlborough Hospital on the front lawn. Other giveaways included booklets about bullying prevention from Marlborough Public Schools and signed copies of the award-winning book, “What Does the Sign Say?” by Dr. Ricardo Lewitus. The children also got the chance to meet Lewitus in person. In addition to tours of the Ronald McDonald Care Mobile, there were numerous hands-on exhibits, including healthy eating, sun exposure screenings and “doctor dress up.” The event was sponsored by St. Mary's Credit Union with support from Marlborough Fraternal Order of Eagles #3565.
