Shrewsbury – Judith A. (Gosselin) Law, 52, passed away unexpectedly Friday July 15, 2011, with her family by her side.
She was born Aug. 30, 1958, in Worcester, the daughter of Anne M. (Fontaine) Gosselin of Worcester and the late Francis Gosselin. She graduated from Tahanto Regional High School in 1976 and met and married her husband of 26 years, Joseph J. Law. Together, they lived and raised their family in Shrewsbury for 26 years.
Besides her husband and mother, she is survived by her twin sons, George F. Law of Millville and Joseph Law Jr. of Worcester; four siblings, Michael F. Gosselin, Susan M. Holmes, Joan E. Gosselin and James G. Gosselin, all of Worcester; two grandchildren, Alexis M. Law and Jacob D. Aaron; her mother-in-law, Lydia A. (Cassanelli) Law of Shrewsbury; and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins extended family and friends.
Mrs. Law was an insurance underwriter for Harleysville Insurance for the past 20 years and was still working at the time of her passing.
She was a member of St Anne's Church and the Shrewsbury Knights of Columbus Ladies Bocce League. She was also a volunteer for the Relay for Life program. She was a quiet simple woman who cherished her family and friends and the times she could spend with them. She will be sorely missed.
Friends and relatives are invited to visit with the family Monday July 18, from 4 to 8 p.m., and Tuesday July 19, from 9 to 10 a.m., at the Mercadante Funeral Home & Chapel, 370 Plantation St., Worcester. Her funeral will be held Tuesday July 19 from the funeral home with a Mass at 10:30 am in St. Anne's Church, 130 Boston Turnpike Rd., Shrewsbury, followed by burial at Mountain View Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Joslin Diabetes Center, 1 Joslin Place, Boston MA 02215.
