Marlborough – Ruth M. (Wilson) Faugno, 62, died unexpectedly Saturday July 16, 2011, at Marlborough Hospital. She is survived by her husband of 44 years, Kenneth P. Faugno of Marlborough.
Born in Marlborough, daughter of Lorraine (Goss) Wilson of Hudson and the late John Wilson, she was raised in Stow before moving to Hudson at age 15. She graduated from Hudson High School, class of 1967, and later attended Worcester Junior College. She had resided in Marlborough since 1967.
Mrs. Faugno was employed as an inspector by the General Electric Co. in Billerica for many years until her retirement in 2009.
She enjoyed crocheting and sewing, and shared the many garments she created with her family. She also was an avid reader, enjoying many romance novels and collected oriental hand fans as a hobby.
She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother and devoted grandmother. She cherished the times she shared with her family and especially enjoyed collecting the many Disney movies her grandchildren enjoyed watching with her.
Besides her husband and mother, she is survived by her two daughters, Stacey Thomas and her husband Paul of Belgrade, Maine, and Cheryl Faugno of Marlborough; her brother, Richard F. Wilson of Worcester; and her two grandchildren, Jacob and Olivia Thomas. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews, and was the sister of the late Ronald and Robert Wilson.
A funeral service will be held Wednesday July 20, at 11 a.m., at the Tighe-Hamilton Funeral Home, Inc. 50 Central St., Hudson. Burial will follow in Forestvale Cemetery of Hudson.
