Hudson – Andre J. Fusco, 54, a lifelong resident of Hudson, died unexpectedly Wednesday July 20, 2011, at his residence.

He is survived by his sister, Michele Nolli of Shrewsbury, and was predeceased by his brother, John A. Fusco, in 2009. He is also survived by his nieces, Amanda Fusco of Hudson; Amber Nolli and Chantal Nolli, who was his god-daughter, both of Shrewsbury; and his many lifelong friends.

Born in Clinton and raised in Hudson, the son of the late William Clifford and Lorraine Chicoine, he attended local schools and was a 1976 graduate of Hudson High School. He was currently employed as a supervisor for Westboro Tennis Surfaces in Westborough.

Mr. Fusco was an avid fisherman and had a great appreciation of nature. He loved animals, especially his desert tortoise, “Herman,” which he had cared for the past 18 years. He enjoyed landscaping and gardening, and was a member of the Sons of Amvets, Hudson Lodge and of Saint Michael's Parish in Hudson.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated Saturday July 23, 2011, at 9 a.m., in Saint Michael's Church, 21 Manning St., Hudson. Internment at Forestvale Cemetery of Hudson will be held at a later date. Calling hours will be held Friday July 22, from 5 to 8 p.m., at the Tighe-Hamilton Funeral Home, Inc., 50 Central Street, Hudson.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association, 20 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701-4688.
