Joseph H. Gorman, 60Hudson – John H. Gorman, 60, formerly of Natick, died Thursday, July 21, 2011, at Marlborough Hospital. He was the beloved husband of Jacqueline (Alves) Gorman of Hudson and the late Karen (Talvy) Gorman, who died in 2000.

Born in Cambridge and raised in Natick, son of the late John and Eleanor (Poole) Gorman, he was a 1969 graduate of Natick High School.

Mr. Gorman worked for Rosewood Management of Marlborough and the Massachusetts Fire Academy in Stow until Sept. 13, 2009, when he was in a car accident that left him disabled. He loved to hunt and fish and was a member of the Riverside Gun Club in Hudson, where he held the office of President for several years. He also taught Junior Archery and was an active player in the clubs pitch league.

Besides his wife, he is survived by his three children, Pamela DaCunha and his granddaughter Alexis DaCunha of Hudson, Cheryl Gorman and her fiancé Phil Sigouin of Sanford, Maine, and Gregory Gorman of Hudson; two step-children, Jeffrey Johnson and his fiancé Paula Malcolm of Woonsocket, R.I., and Jamie (Johnson) Urban and her husband Sean of Beaufort, S.C. He is also survived by his three brothers, William Gorman and his wife Lisa of Marlborough, Robert Gorman and his wife Lynda of Worcester, and James Gorman and his long time companion Mary Giuliani of Westborough; two brothers-in-law, Anthony Alves and his wife Lori of Uxbridge and John Alves and his wife Barbara of Milford; his in-laws, Margaret and Antonio Alves of Myrtle Beach, S.C., and Hilda (Banks) Talvy of Natick; his many nieces and nephews; and his four loveable grandpuppies, Chopper, Chloe, Jager and Jack.

A funeral service will be held Monday July 25, at 11 a.m., at the Tighe-Hamilton Funeral Home, Inc. 50 Central St., Hudson. Burial date and time in New Dell Park Cemetery of Natick will be announced at the service. Calling hours will be held Sunday July 24, from 4 to 7 p.m., at the funeral home.
