Westborough – Lorraine I. Eastman, 88, passed away peacefully 
Wednesday Aug. 10, 2011, at the Beaumont Rehabilitation and Skilled Nursing Center. She was the wife of the late Frank G. Eastman, who died in 2010. Her first husband, Linwood Sweet, died in 1960.
Born in Westborough, she was the daughter of the late Winslow and Etta (Benner) Temple. She was educated in Westborough schools and was a 1940 graduate of Westborough High School.
Mrs. Eastman was employed as the Assistant Personnel Director at the Westborough State Hospital prior to her retirement. She was a member of the First Baptist Church and had been a lifelong Westborough resident.
She is survived by two daughters, Beryl Alexander of Paxton and Sharyn Thurber of Barnstable; a step-daughter, Lois Eastman of Leicester; one sister, Marjorie Tetreault of Westborough; eight grandchildren, Michelle Sellers, Scott Cameron, Tracey Toomey, Jennifer Woodbury, Neil Thurber, Jodi Degabriele, Amy LeBeau and Willie Johnson Jr.; 18 great-grandchildren- and three great-great-grandchildren. She was the sister of the late Dorothy Farnham and Clyde Furbish.
A funeral service will be held Saturday Aug. 13, at 10 a.m., in the Rand-Harper-Pickering Westborough Funeral Home, 62 West Main St., Westborough. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery. Calling hours at the funeral home are Friday Aug. 12, from 5 to 8 p.m.
