Hudson – Richard M. “Red” Reske, 75, died Wednesday Aug. 10, 2011, at Bolton Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Marlborough. He leaves his wife of 30-plus years, Helen F. (Reilly) Reske of Hudson.

Born and raised in Newton, son of the late Albert and Rose (Bozek) Reske, he had been a resident of Hudson since the age of 16 and worked as a truck operator for many years for Holmes Transportation in Framingham. He later was employed as a school bus driver for Ryder Transportation, where he transported students in Marlborough for 25 years until his retirement. He was a member of the Hudson Eagles, the Moose Lodge of Marlborough and Saint Michael's Parish in Hudson.

Besides his wife, he is survived by his children, Ann Kittredge and her husband Kevin of Hudson, Richard Reske and his wife Mary Beth of Florida, Cheryl Boucher and her husband John of Leverett, Maryann Coloumbe and her husband Darrin of Virginia, and Robert Reske and his long time companion Lisa Galeski of Hudson. He is also survived by his five step-children, Billy Sullivan of Hudson, Mary Trudeau and her husband Mark of Leominster, John Sullivan and his wife Kathy of Marlborough, Michael Sullivan of Hudson, and Coleen Ferris and her husband Michael of Boxborough; 18 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. He was the brother of the late Robert Reske, who died in 1977.

A funeral service will be held Monday Aug. 15, at 11 a.m., at the Tighe-Hamilton Funeral Home, Inc., 50 Central St. Burial will follow in Forestvale Cemetery of Hudson. Calling hours will be held Sunday Aug. 14, from 4 to 7 p.m., at the funeral home.
