Shrewsbury – The Shockers, one of the most respected travel softball 
organizations in Central Massachusetts, will be starting its 12th season of existence.
Tryouts will be held Saturdays Aug. 20 and 27 at the Maple Avenue softball field, and potential players can attend either or both tryouts. The age groups (grouping is based on age as of Dec, 31) are U10, U12, U14 and 16U. Tryout times are 9 to 11 a.m. for U10, 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. for U14, 2 to 4 p.m. for U16, and 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. for U12. Registration begins 30 minutes before tryout time.
