Westborough – Henry “Hank” V. Laplante Jr., 80, formerly of Auburn, died Saturday Aug.13, 2011, in UMass Memorial Medical Center after an illness.
He leaves his wife of 53 years, Shirley M. Banfill; a daughter, Mary A. Laplante of Florida; two sisters; Janet H. Desrosiers and her husband Edward of Auburn and Karin Hutchinson and her husband Walter of Worcester; and two nephews.
Born in Worcester, the son of the late Henry V. and Helen E. (Peterson) Laplante, he was educated in Auburn schools.
Mr. Laplante worked as a custodian for the Worcester School Department for many years.
