Grafton – Jean “Puppet” “Gino” Laflamme, 64, passed peacefully at home Jean “Puppet” Laflamme, 64Tuesday Aug. 16, 2011, with his family.

He leaves his devoted wife of 40 years, Kathlyn A. (McCartney); three loving children, Tracey Laflamme and her companion Jeffrey David, Joel H. and his fiancée Amanda both of Grafton, and Larissa Stretton and her husband Bruce of Oxford; one sister, Mary Jane LaPlume of Leominster; two brothers, Richard “Hawk” Laflamme of Northbridge and Leo “Rabbit” Laflamme and his wife Barbara of Grafton; four grandchildren, Shelby Stretton, C.J. and Kathlyn Hanratty and Sophia Laraia Laflamme; and many nieces, nephews and close, longtime friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Leo and Edna (Sweet) Laflamme; his sister-in-law, Judy Laflamme; and his brother-in-law, Francis LaPlume.

Born May 26, 1947, in Worcester, he was raised in Grafton and attended Grafton High School, earning his GED after his military service. He was a Vietnam veteran serving in the Army as a helicopter mechanic (SP5).

Mr. Laflamme was a master mechanic & fabricator having worked for International Truck Co. and AAA Trucking before going to the Middlesex News in Framingham, where became known as “Gino,” working over 20 years there and retiring this year. He also operated Mountain Ash Farm & Garage in Grafton, doing repairs for many to their trucks and equipment.

He was a life member of the Southborough Rod & Gun Club and the NRA. He loved his greyhound, pit bull, Labrador retriever dogs, and also his motorcycle, tractors and his “33.”

Funeral services are Friday Aug. 19, at 10 a.m., in the Baptist Church of Grafton, 1 South St., Grafton Center. Mr. Laflamme will then be laid to rest with military honors in Pine Grove Cemetery in North Grafton. All are welcome to join his family at calling hours Thursday Aug. 18, from 5 to 8 p.m., at the Roney Funeral Home, 152 Worcester St., North Grafton.
