Westborough – Paul Moore, 93, passed peacefully at home with his family Paul Moore, 93Wednesday Aug.17, 2011. His wife of 57 years, Anna E. (May) Moore, passed in 2002.

He is survived by his daughter, Mary T. Crosby of East Falmouth; one sister, Pauline Munyan, of Worcester; two grandchildren, Theresa Morin and Jonah Jenkins; three great-grandchildren, Crystal, Donnie and Josh Morin; many nieces, nephews; and his daughter-in-law, Joan Maki. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ferris and Theresa (Koury) Moore; his son, Joel F. Moore; four sisters, Jamella Karakey, Jeanne, Alice and Juliette Moore; three brothers, Nazere, Abraham and George Moore; and his son-in-law, Lloyd Crosby.

Born February 3, 1918 in Worcester and raised there, he graduated from high school and then from the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy in Boston. Mr. Moore founded Moore's Pharmacy on Hamilton Street in Worcester and then enlisted in the army to serve his country in World War II. He was in the Medical Corps where he met Anna, who was an army nurse, and they began their 57 years of marriage there in the army together. Following the war he continued to operate the pharmacy until he retired and closed it in 1987.

Mr. Moore also loved farming and the Midwest, where his wife came from, having owned and operated the M & M Farm in Howe, Indiana, with his brother-in-law, Bill May. He was a truly generous and caring family-oriented man who took great joy in helping many people in any way he could.

Funeral services are Saturday Aug, 20, at 10:30 a.m., in the Roney Funeral Home, 152 Worcester, St., North Grafton. He will then be laid to rest with military honors at Pine Grove Cemetery in Westborough. All are welcome to join his family at calling hours Friday Aug. 19, from 5 to 8 p.m., at the funeral home.

The family asks that in lieu of flowers the memory of Mr. Moore be honored with donations to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701 or Children's Hospital Boston, 300 Longwood Ave., Boston MA 02115.
