Wally P., AA historian and author, will take place Tuesday Aug. 30, starting at 6:30 p.m., at Independence Hall, 59 South St. in Shrewsbury. All are welcome to attend the free AdCare-sponsored recovery event.
Enjoy an evening of food, fellowship, and facts about AA in the 1940s and why it worked so well, presented by guest speaker Wally P. An AA historian and author, Wally P. originated the Back to Basics Beginners” Meetings, based on the “original” 12-Step meeting format that produced a 50 to 75 percent recovery rate in the 1940s and 1950s.
