Marlborough – Rita (LaBossiere) Nava, 93, died Tuesday Aug. 16, 2011 at Sudbury Pines Extended Care Facility, Sudbury.

Born in Marlborough, she was the daughter of the late Alfonso and Anna (Lambert) LaBossiere and the wife of the late Charles Nava. She had been employed by the former Frye Shoe Company, retiring in 1964. A member of the former St. Mary's Parish, she enjoyed needlework, was active with the Women of the Moose and participated at the Marlborough Senior Center.

She is survived by her son, Charles Nava and his wife Ginny of Bremerton, Wash.; her daughters, Vivian Russ and her husband Fred of Conyers, Georgia, Pauline Bowers of Wimauma, Fla. and Louise Kyser of Marlborough; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated Saturday Aug. 27, at 9 a.m., at the Immaculate Conception Church, Prospect Street in Marlborough. Visiting hours will be held Friday Aug. 26, from 4 to 7 p.m., at the Slattery Funeral Home, Inc., 40 Pleasant St., Marlborough. Burial will be private.
