Jill M. Barker, 59Framingham – Jill M. (Langelier) Barker, 59, formerly of Hudson, died Tuesday Aug. 23, 2011, at Traditions Wayside Hospice in Wayland. She leaves her husband of 29 years, Frederick Barker of Framingham.

She was born and raised in Hudson, daughter of the late James Langelier, and is survived by her mother, Marion (Garceau) Langelier of Hudson. She attended local schools and was a 1970 graduate of Hudson High School. She has resided in Framingham the past 30 years after moving from Hudson.

Mrs. Barker was a longtime Nurse's Aide for many years, most recently with Bethany Hospital in Framingham, where she worked for 19 years until her recent retirement. Prior to Bethany Hospital, she worked at Cushing Hospital in Framingham for 11 years.

She always looked forward to her frequent camping trips to Maine with family and friends, and enjoyed playing scrabble with her mother, sister and nieces. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and will be missed by her pet cats, Johnny and Callie, whom she loved and cared for.

Besides her husband and mother, she is survived by her children, Kenneth “Kip” Pitard Jr. and his wife Cindy of Ashland, Andrea Pitard and her fiancé Joseph O”Shea of Beverly, and Tammy Hernandez and her husband Oscar of Framingham. She is also survived by her sister, Glori Manning of Clinton; her brother, James “Jay” Langelier and his wife Janet of Monson; her eight grandchildren, Corey Pitard, whom Jill raised and cared for his whole life, Oscar Jr., Tatiana and Alex Hernandez, Ashlie and Joshua Bradford, Haley and Ryan Pitard; and several nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held Saturday Aug. 27, at 12 p.m., at the Tighe-Hamilton Funeral Home, Inc., 50 Central St., Hudson, celebrated by Pastor Brian Horst of the South Middlesex Baptist Church. Burial in Forestvale Cemetery will be held at the convenience of the family. Calling hours will be held Friday Aug. 26, from 5 to 8 p.m., at the funeral home.
