Lambert was a lifelong resident of Marlborough and a mentor to many of the city's youth. The event will feature music by The Usual Suspects, Cubby “The Hit Man”, Les Racquet and Flash Back. Billy Parks, a committee member, is one of the organizers.

“We want to help the family, and ease the financial burdens for Nelson's wife, Sandy, and their children, Rachelle and Zachary,” Parks said. “The pain of losing a friend such as Nelson is really hard. An event like this helps with the healing process by bringing people together to remember the good times. Please join us in honoring our friend, Nelson, and in supporting his family.”
