Hudson – Phyllis M. (Videto) Walsh, 89, a lifelong resident of Hudson, died Thursday, Sept. 1, 2011, at Marlborough Hills Healthcare Center. She was the wife of the late James B. Walsh, who died in 1990.

Born and raised in Hudson, daughter of the late George H. and Mary J. (Veinot) Videto, she attended local schools and was a graduate of Hudson High School. She later attended the Catherine Gibbs Business School in Boston.

Besides caring for her family, Mrs. Walsh was active in the Hudson Parents Teachers Association and Hudson Girls Scouts when her daughter Patricia was attending school. She was a member of the former Christ King Parish in Hudson and member of the Ladies Sodality with the church. She enjoyed decorating, gardening and spent her spare time reading about current events.

She is survived by her daughter, Patricia Walsh of Hudson and many dear friends from her community. She was predeceased by her brother, Lt. Richard H. Videto, who was killed in action during World War II.

A calling hour will be held Saturday, Sept. 3, from 10 to 11 a.m., at the Tighe-Hamilton Funeral Home, Inc., 50 Central St., Hudson, followed by a funeral service at 11 a.m. in the funeral home. Burial will follow in Forestvale Cemetery of Hudson.
