Northborough Free Library announces October programs for adultsNorthborough – Northborough Free Library has announced it will be offering two programs for adults in October.

The Development of Wisdom in the Aging Brain, a presentation by Professor Emeritus Rene LeBlanc from Framingham State College, will be held Wednesday, Oct. 5, at 6:30 p.m. Research from neuroscience and psychology show that our personalities, creativity, and psychological “selves” continue to develop throughout life. Forget some of the myths you’ve heard and learn the facts at this presentation.

It's Not About the Hike will be offered Wednesday, Oct. 12, at 7 p.m. In this program, two women discuss how they overcame personal adversity and hiked 67 New England 4,000 footers in one year. Authors Nancy Spoorborg and Pat Piper will provide a gorgeous slide show of New England. in all seasons, along with a big dose of inspiration. This presentation is for hikers and non-hikers alike.
