Shrewsbury – St. John's High School recently announced the hiring of Warren Hayden, Class of 1981, as its new director of Alumni Relations.

Hayden, a 1981 graduate of the school, has joined the school's Advancement Team after several years in information technology with Jordan Marsh and Macy's department stores, most recently as field services manager of the New England region for Macy's. After graduating from Saint John's, Hayden earned a bachelor's degree from Worcester State College.

A resident of Shrewsbury and father of two current St. John's students, Hayden has been an active member of the school's alumni community over the years and a frequent supporter and attendee of athletic and arts events on campus.

“He is a familiar face to all at Saint John's,” said Headmaster Michael Welch, Class of 1978. “Warren's loyalty and devotion are well known. We are blessed to have him formally as a member of our team.”

Welch also noted that Warren Hayden's father, Warren W. Hayden, graduated from St. John's in 1954, and he has two sons on campus, Warren, Class of 2012, and Aaron, Class of 2013. A third son, Jacob, is currently in the sixth grade at St. Mary's School in Shrewsbury. Hayden's wife, Beth, works in the school's Advancement Office.

“Saint John's has introduced me to many great friendships over the years and I am looking forward to sharing the support and camaraderie of our community with other alumni and future alumni,” Hayden commented. “I'se experienced St. John's as a student, an alumnus and a parent, and I'se seen the great things that faculty, students and alumni do.”
