Boston – Representatives Ryan Fattman (R-Sutton) and Paul Frost (R-Auburn), in conjunction with Representatives George N. Peterson, Jr. (R-Grafton), Peter Durant (R-Spencer), Kevin Kuros (R-Uxbridge), Matthew Beaton (R-Shrewsbury) and Steven Levy (R-Marlborough),are pleased to announce that the 2011 G.O.P. Jobs Tour will be stopping in Sutton on Oct. 3.
Announced during a press conference at the State House, the Massachusetts House Republican Caucus will embark on a six-week Jobs Tour. The Tour will make initial stops in seven communities across the commonwealth, with additional dates and stops forthcoming.
With the state's unemployment rate hovering around 7.6 percent, and the national unemployment rate holding steady at 9.1 percent, the Republican Caucus will provide businesses and constituents with a platform to propose ideas for improving the job climate in the Bay State.
“The 2011 G.O.P. Jobs Tour will give residents across the commonwealth a chance to share their expectations and concerns with elected officials relative to the job climate in Massachusetts,” said House Minority Leader Brad Jones (R-North Reading). “I encourage all residents to take advantage of this opportunity to have a candid discussion with Republican lawmakers about how we can improve the large and small business climate here in the Bay state.”
Joining Republican legislators at the Tour stops will be invited members from the business community, and local and regional Chambers of Commerce.
“This is a great opportunity for individuals and businesses to express their concerns to elected officials,” stated Peterson. “In a time where job creation needs to be a top priority, I believe that these Tour stops will provide great insight to our constituents on a much more personal level. I am eager to get the 2011 G.O.P. Jobs Tour underway.”

Monday, Oct. 3 at the Sutton Senior Center, 19 Hough Road, from 7 -8:30 p.m.
