Shrewsbury Public Library kicks off campaign for renovations and additionShrewsbury – Library patron Dan Moynihan, accompanied by his granddaughter, Lily Wilson, 8, speaks at a rally, held Sept. 10 at the Town Common, in support of a debt exclusion vote on a Shrewsbury Public Library construction project. Among the other speakers were Board of Selectman Chair Jim Kane and Library Board of Trustees Chair Laurie Hogan. During the rally, opponents to the project and debt exclusion held signs across the street. A special Town Meeting to discuss funding a portion of the library expansion and renovation is scheduled for Monday, Sept. 26, 7 p.m., at the Oak Middle School Auditorium. A special town election will be Tuesday, Oct. 18.
