Westborough – Westborough's Pramit Maakoday (back, center, with hat), joins other residents from Westborough, Shrewsbury and other towns Aug. 23 for a gathering in Westborough in support of Anna Hazare's campaign against corruption in India. Maakoday serves on the board of directors for Next Generation Foundation (NGF), a charitable organization established to support underprivileged children in India and other countries, which was co-founded by Shrewsbury resident Peo Nathan, along with two others. The Westborough-based event was jointly organized by NGF and India Against Corruption, and included hundreds of people who chanted slogans and lit candles in a show of support and solidarity for the anti-corruption movement, according to information provided by Maakoday.
