Smithsonian Magazine's Museum Day at Tower Hill Botanic Garden

Saturday, Sept. 24, Tower Hill Botanic Garden, 11 French Dr., Boylston, will participate in Smithsonian Magazine's Museum Day, an annual event sponsored by Smithsonian Magazine in which participating museums and cultural venues nationwide offer free admission to people with a Museum Day Pass. More than 1,500 venues across the country, including Tower Hill Botanic Garden, will honor Smithsonian.com's special get-in-free ticket for two. To gain free admission to Tower Hill Botanic Garden for the day, visitors will need to register and download the pass from the Museum Day website at www.smithsonianmag.com/museumday/. Upcoming workshops at Culinary Underground

Culinary Underground School for Home Cooks in Southborough will present a Knife Skills Workshop Thursday, Sept. 29, from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and 6:30 to 9 p.m. Cost is $75 and reservations are required. Also, a Holy Mackerel! Great Weeknight Fish Workshop will be held Tuesday, Oct. 4, from 6:30 to 9 p.m. Cost is $85 and reservations are required.
