Southborough Senior Center to host scam awareness programSouthborough – Elaine Zidonis of the Better Business Bureau of Central New England will be visit the Southborough Senior Center Wednesday, Oct. 12, at 12 p.m., for a presentation on the scams that seniors face today.

Seniors are especially vulnerable to consumer fraud and the goal of the BBB's Senior Awareness Program is to educate senior citizens about ways to recognize and avoid common scams and ways to avoid becoming victims of consumer fraud. During the presentation, Zidonis will make seniors aware of the benefits of checking with the BBB before doing business with someone that they do not know.

To register for the presentation or for more information, stop by the front desk of the Southborough Senior Center, 9 Cordaville Rd., or call 1-508-229-4453. A luncheon will be held at 11:30 a.m. Suggested donation is $4 for senior center members and $6 for non-members.
