Worcester – Preservation Worcester will host its 4th Annual Better-than-your-Average Yard Sale – a treasure trove of 18th, 19th, and early 20th century antique and home improvement restoration architectural salvage décor – Sunday, Oct. 16. The unique assortment of hard-to-find items will include doors, windows, fireplace surrounds, hardwood flooring, chandeliers, furniture, steamer trunks filled with vintage clothing and textiles, garden accessories, fine art, pottery and glassware and much, much more.

Due to the popularity of the annual event, Preservation Worcester has outgrown its Cedar Street headquarters. This year's event is relocated to Worcester's historic Canal District and will be held at Architectural Garage, 5 Harrison Ave., on the corner of Harrison and Green Streets.

The yard sale is free and open to the public from noon to 4 p.m. Discerning buyers may attend a preview from 11 a.m. to noon for a $10 donation. The afternoon event will include raffles, refreshments and entertainment, as well as expert professionals to assist you. Plenty of nearby parking is available.

“Our annual Yard Sale has always been a popular attraction,” said Preservation Worcester Executive Director Deborah Packard. “People really feel that they are helping to preserve our community and getting a great bargain at the same time.”

Sales benefit Preservation Worcester, a private, not-for-profit membership organization of concerned citizens dedicated to preserving Worcester's culture, history and architecture. For more information, call 1-508-754-8760 or visit www.preservationworcester.org.
