Westborough – The Westborough Public Library is seeking applications from qualified individuals for the position of circulation supervisor. The circulation supervisor, under the direction of the library director, oversees all operations of the Main Floor Circulation Department, which includes the loaning of all library materials under policies established by the Board of Trustees. The Circulation Supervisor also works closely with the Adult Services Librarian and Reference Librarian to provide information services to the public. This is a union position, N-15, 30 hours per week, with a starting salary of $20.70 per hour.
The Ccirculation supervisor supervises the work of library assistants and library pages; participates in the interviewing and hiring for those positions; is responsible for performance evaluations; and coordinates the hiring, scheduling, training and supervision of teen and adult volunteers. The circulation supervisor also works regular shifts at the Reference Desk, and must be able to perform all library assistant tasks as needed.
Applicants should possess a Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university (strongly preferred); or a high school diploma/G.E.D. and at least four years of circulation experience in a public library; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
