Hudson – Jean L. (Johnson) Gotthardt, 87, a longtime resident of Hudson, died Sunday, Oct. 2, 2011 at Beaumont Rehabilitation and Skilled Nursing Center in Northborough. She was the beloved wife of the late Russell Gotthardt, who died in 2000.
Born and raised in Struthers, Ohio, daughter of the late Roy and Anna (Stout) Johnson, she had been a resident of Hudson since 1963 and was employed by the former R. J. Harrity Co. of Hudson for many years until her retirement.
Mrs. Gotthardt was a member of the Northboro Church of Christ. She was a loving mother and especially enjoyed the time she shared with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is survived by her two sons, David Gotthardt of Anaheim, Calif. and Douglas Gotthardt of Hudson. She is also survived by her two sisters, Joan High and Phyllis Unger, both of Ohio; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held Tuesday, Oct. 4, at 11 a.m., at Forestvale Cemetery on Broad Street in Hudson. There are no calling hours. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Tighe Hamilton Funeral Home of Hudson.
