MHS, St. John's tie in soccer battle
Marlborough – Marlborough High School's (MHS) Paco Ceja (left) battles St. John's High School's (SJ) Colin Hughes for the ball during their game at MHS's Kelleher Field Sept. 24. MHS struck first, but SJ tied it quickly, and the first half ended 1-1. In the second half, MHS again scored first, but SJ answered a few minutes later. Due to a spectacular penalty kick save by Marlborough goalkeeper Arthur Torres with less than 10 seconds remaining, the game ended in a 2-2 tie.
