American Red Cross holds Shrewsbury ‘FearFest’ blood drive Oct. 28Shrewsbury – An American Red Cross blood drive will be held Friday, Oct. 28, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., at the Glavin Regional Center, 214 Lake St., Shrewsbury. This drive is being sponsored by the Glavin Regional Center, Shrewsbury Electric Light & Cable and American Movie Classics.

Open to the public and residents from surrounding towns are invited to participate, the FearFest drive will include giveaways to all donors, raffle prizes and Halloween treats. Appointments are preferred, but walk-ins are also welcome. If you are in good health, weigh 110 pounds or more, and have not given blood in the past 56 days, you may try to donate. The American Red Cross now requires positive ID before donating and donors must be at least 17 years of age (16-year-olds can donate with a signed parental consent form).
