Sahag Sahagian, 83Southborough – Sahag Sahagian, 83, died Sunday, Oct. 16, 2011 at the Armenian Nursing & Rehab Center in Jamaica Plains. He was the husband of Alma (Sarkisian) for the past 48 years.

Born in Watertown, the son of the Garry and Esther Sahagian, he was a graduate of Northeastern University and a U.S. Army veteran, serving from 19 54 to 1956.
Mr. Sahagian was a chemical engineer for Foster Grant and American Hoechst. After retirement, he was a consultant for Huntsman Chemical. He was an avid golfer and bridge player.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his son, Stepan Sahagian of Milford; two nieces; several grandnieces and grandnephews; and great-grandnieces and great-grandnephews. He was predeceased by his son, Melkon Sahagian, who passed away in 1988, and his nephew, Jack Shemligan.
Visiting hours will be held Tuesday, Oct. 18, from 4 to 7 p.m., at the Morris Funeral Home, 40 Main St., Southborough. A funeral service will be held Wednesday, Oct. 19, at 11 a.m., at the Armenian Church of the Holy Translators, 38 Franklin St., Framingham. Burial will follow in the Southborough Rural Cemetery.
