Error on Marlborough absentee ballots

Marlborough – City Clerk Lisa Thomas announced via a press release on Oct. 18 that an error has been discovered on the absentee ballots for the upcoming Nov. 1 municipal election.

Councilor Robert J. Tunnera, who is candidate for re-election for Ward Four, was mistakenly listed on the absentee ballots as a veteran, Thomas said.

Thomas said this was a misprint only on the Ward Four absentee ballots – the regular ballots will be correct.

“The mistaken ‘Veteran Status’ occurred between the City Clerk's office and the company that prints our ballots,” Thomas said. “Councilor Tunnera was not involved with this error.”
