Shrewsbury – Helen L. Forrister, 82, died Monday, Oct. 17, 2011 at her home. Her husband, Walter E. Forrister, died in 2001.
She leaves three sons, Dale Forrister of Rutland, Glen Forrister and his wife Laura of Clinton, and Scott Forrister and his wife Nancy of Clinton; two daughters, Laurie Harms and her husband John of Shrewsbury and Jill Kelly and her husband Mark of Shrewsbury; two brothers, Edward Cathline and his wife Lillian of Dudley and Roy Cathline and his wife Fay of Boylston; one sister, Ruth Ziegler of Sheffield; seven grandchildren; several nieces and nephew; and two special friends, Joyce and Jerry.
Born in Worcester, daughter of Wilfrid W. and Ethel (Howe) Cathline, she graduated from Major Beal High School in 1947.
Mrs. Forrister worked in the returns department at Spag's Supply, retiring 21 years ago. She was a former member of Shrewsbury Woman's Club and enjoyed gardening, painting, baking, cooking and her cottage in Canada.
Services and burial will be private. Howard C. Allen Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements.
