Beacon Hospice offers holiday grief support in NorthboroughNorthborough – The holiday times can be a time of celebration and joy unless a person has experienced the recent loss of a loved one through death. The Harbors of Hope Bereavement Program of Beacon Hospice, Inc. will host a holiday grief six-week series entitled Heart for the Holidays that will begin Tuesday, Nov. 1. The options for times to attend are 2 to 3:30 p.m. or 7 to 8:30 p.m. The group is being hosted by and will meet at the Council on Aging, 119 Bearfoot Rd., Northborough. The COA is handicapped accessible.

The series offers an educational support group for people who have lost a loved one recently. Topics will include the varied symptoms of grief and common feelings; normal versus abnormal grief; coping techniques for handling the roller coaster of emotions; and the spiritual dimensions of the grief process. All sessions are facilitated by a trained professional.
