Marlborough – The spectacular 22nd Evening of Giving will be held Thursday, Dec. 8, at the Best Western Royal Plaza Hotel, Rte. 20 in Marlborough. The event will be a benefit for Roland's House, the Marlboro-Hudson homeless shelter.
An elaborate variety of international dishes, as well as good old New England cooking will be featured, including the popular shrimp and raw bar, new Brazilian dishes, Trombetta's ice cream, tasty pastries, and many more delicacies. There will be music for all ages.
Anyone wishing to serve on the committee is welcome. Simply see or call Bob Kays, Chairman, at the Propsector Bar and Grill on Lincoln St., or contact Paulina Lynch, 508-485-3741 or Madeline Dupuis, 508-485-5705. They will also handle table reservations. Tickets are $30 each, $300 for a table of 10.
The annual raffle is also being held with a first prize of $5,000, one $1,000 prize, and three $500 prizes. Only 300 tickets will be sold, for $50 each. Contact Kays, Lynch, or Dupuis to purchase.
Roland's House, located on 57 Mechanic St., Marlborough, has received more than $600,000 in proceeds from this annual event which has been held over the past 21 years. The funds support the shelter in assisting homeless individuals in finding their way back to the working world and to help them attain financial and emotional stability.
