Northborough – The Board of Selectmen unanimously approved fees for plowing and sanding of private ways in a public hearing at its Oct. 17 meeting. The service is provided by the town for public safety and for the prevention of traffic issues.
The town charges separately for plowing and sanding for each storm. For streets less than 3,000 feet in length the fee for each service is $165, and for those greater than 3,000 feet in length, it is $330 per service. These rates include an increase of 3 percent over last year.
The streets covered in the agreement include portions of Harris Avenue, Green Street, and Maple Lane.
