Hudson – The town's Boy Scout Troops 2, 35, 77, Venture Crew 21 and Girl Scouts will be holding a food drive on Nov. 5.
The collected food will be delivered to the Hudson Food Pantry, 28 Houghton Street, Hudson. Last year's drive collected 8,300 pounds of food.
If you have any questions concerning this year's drive, please call Joan Wordell, Scouting for Food Co-coordinator at 508-283-0412.
Northborough – The town's Girl and Boy Scout troops will be collecting food that day as well to benefit the Northborough Food Pantry.
Should a Scout miss picking up your bag or you forget to leave out a donation on Saturday, donations may also be dropped off at the pantry, which is located inside the Town Hall, 63 Main St. The pantry is open Wednesday, 9 to 10:30 a.m. and Thursday 6:30 to 8:00pm.
For both towns, residents are requested to leave their donations outside their homes by 9 a.m. If you did not receive a bag from the Scouts ahead of time, you may use any other bag. Please mark the bag “Food Drive”, so the scouts will be sure to pick up the food. Bags should be visible from the road as scouts will not enter any buildings.
