Marlborough – Ethel M. (O’Rourke) Wolfgang, 85, died early Tuesday morning, Nov. 1, 2011 after a short period of failing health. She was the wife of Robert Wolfgang to whom she was married for 59 years.
She was born in Boston, the daughter of the late Dennis and Hazel (Stevens) O’ Rourke, and lived in Marborough for over 25 years after moving there from Hudson.
She is survived by one son, Robert Wolfgang Jr. of Sturbridge; one daughter, Linda Howard of Worcester; two brothers, John and George O’Rourke, both of Billerica; one sister, Margaret O’Rourke of Utah; seven grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sister, Ann O’Rourke.
Her funeral will be held Friday, Nov. 4, at 10 a.m., in the William R. Short and Son Funeral Home, 95 West Main St., Marlborough. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. Visiting hours at the funeral home will be held Thursday, Nov. 3, from 5 to 7 p.m.
