Hudson – Marion F. (Bushey) Beland, 74, died Monday, Oct. 31, 2011 at Marlborough Hospital. She leaves her husband of 51 years, Ernest E. Beland Sr. of Hudson.
Born and raised in Hudson, the daughter of the late Francis and Katherine (George) Bushey, she was a lifelong resident of Hudson and attended local schools.
Mrs. Beland worked as a cashier for Walmart of Hudson for many years and prior to that was an inspector for Accumet Corp. in Hudson. She was also employed by the Hudson Lock Co. She was a member of the Loyal Order of Moose in Marlborough and member of Saint Michael's Parish in Hudson.
Besides her husband, she is survived by her children, Ernest E. Beland Jr. of Hudson, Candis Beland of North Carolina, Kathryn Beland of Hudson and Cynthia Sosnicki of Clinton. She was predeceased by her daughter, Michele Steere, in 2003. She is also survived by her two brothers, Frank Bushey of Hudson, Fla. and Richard Bushey of Hudson; her three sisters, Catherine Donnelly of Hudson, Donna Therrien of Phoenix, Ariz., and Barbara Beland of Hudson; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
A funeral mass will be celebrated Friday, Nov. 4, at 9 a.m., in Saint Michael's Church, 21 Manning St., Hudson. Burial will follow in Forestvale Cemetery of Hudson. Calling hours will be held Thursday, Nov. 3, from 5 to 8 p.m., at the Tighe-Hamilton Funeral Home, Inc., 50 Central St., Hudson, MA 01749.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Marion's daughter, Michele Steere, may be made to the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, 10 Brookline Place West, 6th Floor, Brookline, MA 02445.
