Hudson – Chandler Goodwin, a senior volleyball captain at Hudson High School recently achieved a rare feat in the world of high school volleyball – she recorded her 1,000th kill.

How did it feel to score that monumental 1,000th kill?

“I felt a great sense of accomplishment scoring my 1,000th career kill, especially because of my position. Traditionally “Middles” don's get as many opportunities to score, so I have to make the best out of every opportunity I get.”

Which coach has helped you the most in your volleyball career?

“The coach that has been the most influential during my volleyball career is my smash club coach, and Medway High School coach Gary Patch. He brought my game to the level it's at today. He provided me the opportunity to play with some of the most amazing volleyball players in the state.”

Have any particular teammates pushed you toward success?

“The teammate who has been the most encouraging is my co-captain, and setter, Rachel McGrath. We'se been supporting each other for five years now. My success is hers, and her success is mine.”

Do you play any other sports? Which is your favorite?

“I also play basketball, as well as throw shot put and discus for the track and field team. However, volleyball is my favorite.”

You'sl be graduating from Hudson High in the spring; where will you be taking your game next year?

“I'se committed to play for the University of Hartford and coach Don Ferguson, next year. I's really looking forward to it.”
